This Raised Griddle/Broiler is a gas countertop unit, and at only 36" wide, it helps to conserve space in an already-crowded kitchen. The griddle plate is 3/4" thick and is a smooth polished plate with manual controls and a pilot. The easily removed broiler rack makes cleaning a snap.  The front and sides are stainless steel, as is the 3"W grease trough and large grease tray.  It has thermostatic controls and an overall output of 60,000 BTUs.  Vollrath stands behind this product with a limited 1 year warranty on parts and labor.
